Step 3: Organize paid events

To sell events on Zencal, you need to have:

1. A payment gateway account
2. A payment gateway account integrated with your Zencal account (read more)
3. Terms of Service and Privacy Policy added (Step 2: Terms of Service and Privacy Policy)

In the Payments section, you’ll configure how access to the event is sold and set up the purchase process. You can decide whether the event will be free or paid, as well as specify available pricing options, payment terms, and additional options for participants.

1. Paid event

When you enable this option, the event becomes a paid event. This allows you to configure payment options and additional settings related to the purchase process.

2. Display Invoice Form

When this option is enabled, participants can enter their billing information during registration. This information will be submitted along with the order.

3. Option to purchase multiple passes

This allows participants to purchase more than one admission in a single transaction. When this option is enabled, participants can specify the number of admissions they wish to purchase.

Automatically cancel unpaid registrations

This feature automatically cancels registrations that have not been paid within a specified time period.

To configure this feature:

1. Enter the time after which an unpaid registration is to be canceled.
2. Select a time unit (e.g., minutes, hours, or days).

Note: The minimum time for automatic rejection is 30 minutes. Leaving the field blank disables this feature.

Payment Options

In this section, you can add one or more payment options for the event.

For each option, specify:

• Option Name – the name displayed to participants
• Price – the amount the participant will pay for this option.
• Currency – the currency in which the payment will be processed.

Use the “Add Payment Option” button to create additional pricing options, and the trash can icon to delete a selected option. This allows you to offer different types of tickets or prices for a single event.
