How to create a paid session on Zencal

- Click the “Create Meeting Topic” button
- If you want to learn how to set up the basic features of a meeting topic, go here:
- When setting the meeting topic name, you’ll see a “Paid Meeting” slider—select it and continue configuring the meeting topic.
- After configuration, click the “Save and Customize Payment” button—the system will automatically redirect you to the meeting pricing setup.
How to Set Up Payment
In the Payments tab, you can configure how a specific meeting topic will be billed. You can create different pricing options, set up one-time or subscription payments, and decide what information will be displayed to the client during booking.
Pricing Options
Using the “Add Variant” button, you can create several different pricing options for a single appointment topic. This allows the client to choose the option that best suits their needs during the booking process.
For each option, you can specify:
- Variant name – visible to the customer during booking.
- Total price – the total amount the customer will pay.
- Currency – the currency in which the payment will be charged.
- Number of sessions – specify how many sessions the price covers. For example, you can create a package of several sessions.
- Subscription – when this option is enabled, payment will be charged on a recurring basis according to the subscription settings. You can read more about subscriptions here – Step 8: Subscriptions
💡 Good to Know : If you want to sell packages consisting of 2–3 sessions, you can configure them directly in the Session Details. When booking, the client will need to select and reserve all dates included in the package at once.
However, if you plan to sell larger packages, such as 10 sessions, we recommend using the “Packages” module. It’s designed for selling a larger number of sessions that the client can use at their convenience. You can learn more about the “Packages” module here—Step 4: Sell Session Packages
Payment Settings
Below you’ll find additional options related to the payment process:
- Display net amounts – shows net prices instead of gross prices.
- Show discount code field – allows the client to enter a promotional code during payment. We’ve described how discount codes work here – Step 5: Discount Codes
- Display the invoice form – allows the customer to fill out their billing information.
- Require invoice details – makes entering invoice details mandatory.
- I accept on-site payments – allows you to indicate that payment will be made during the appointment. When making a reservation, the customer can choose between paying online or on-site.
- Automatically cancel payment—if the customer does not pay for the reservation within a specified time (e.g., 90 minutes), the payment will be canceled, and the time slot will automatically become available again for other customers. You can set the time in minutes or hours.
