Step 4: Branding

The Branding module in Zencal allows you to fully customize the look of your profile page. By personalizing this area, the booking system and communication with customers (e.g., reminder emails) become part of your brand’s visual identity.

💡 Good to know: Set up the Branding section as one of the first steps after creating your account. This will prevent default notifications from being sent to customers without your logo and company name.

1. Images

Here, you can add graphics to personalize your profile, calendar, and messages sent to customers. Below is a description of where each uploaded image appears:

  • Profile page background: This image will appear as the main background on your public profile page.
  • Profile logo (circular): Your photo or logo, which the system will automatically crop to a circular shape. It appears in a prominent location on your profile page.
  • Calendar logo: A logo that your customers will see directly in the calendar when selecting a meeting time and in emails.
  • Background for email notifications: An image (e.g., a banner or your logo) that will appear in the header of automated emails and reminders sent to clients.
  • OG (Open Graph) image: An image that will automatically appear as a preview when you share a link to your profile on social media (e.g., on Facebook or LinkedIn).
💡 Tip: Make sure the files you upload are clear and well-cropped; follow the dimensions we suggest for each image so your profile and emails look completely professional.

2. Content

Here, you manage all text and the main call to action (CTA) that appear on your public profile page.

  • Name: Your main name or first and last name. Based on this, the system will automatically generate a unique URL for your profile page.
  • Slogan: A short addition to your name. This is a smaller text that appears directly below your main name (e.g., your profession or company motto).
  • Description: The main text on your profile page, where you can describe your business, introduce yourself, or explain to clients what it’s like to work with you.

Call-to-Action (CTA) Button Setup: Below the description, you can place a special button that directs customers to any location (e.g., your website or portfolio).

  • CTA Button Label: Enter the text that will appear on the button (e.g., “Visit my website,” “View my portfolio”).
  • CTA button link: Paste the URL the button should link to.

Customizing booking buttons:

  • Text for scheduling buttons: This allows you to change the default text on the buttons used to schedule appointments. You don’t have to stick with the standard “Schedule an appointment”—you can enter your own phrase tailored to your industry, such as “Schedule a visit,” “Book a session, or “Sign up for a consultation.”

3. Appearance

Here, you can customize the color scheme of your profile page and calendar to match your brand colors.

💡 Important note: You can also customize the widget’s colors (the calendar embedded on your website) directly while generating it. You can learn more about embedding the calendar on your own website here: Step 4: Embedding the calendar on your website

Below is a description of what each color setting controls:

  • Primary Color: The main color on your profile page. It determines the color of links for rescheduling or canceling appointments in emails, as well as the color of the borders around available time slots.
  • Secondary color: The color that complements the graphic elements in the calendar. You’ll see it, for example, in the preview under the “Embed Code” tab.
  • Button background color: The color used for the main buttons on the page (including the booking buttons).
  • Button text color: The font color on the booking buttons—make sure there’s enough contrast so the text is clearly visible.
  • Main calendar color: The color scheme of the calendar itself—showing days and hours—which you send to customers as a direct link.

4. Contact and Social Media

Here, you can add links to your social media channels and public contact information. This will make it easier for customers to reach you and give them the opportunity to learn more about your business.

Social Media

You can add direct links to your profiles on the following platforms:

  • LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Public Location Information and Google Map

If you serve customers in person, you can display an interactive map with directions directly on your profile page:

  • Google Maps link: The main link to your location.
  • Google Maps embed code: Allows you to display a map pop-up on your profile.
🛠️ How do you get the map embed code?
  1. Open Google Maps and search for your business address.
  2. Click the Share button.
  3. Go to the "Embed Map" tab.
  4. Click “Copy HTML code” and paste it into the designated field in Zencal.

Direct contact for customers

At the end of the section, you can provide your direct contact information:

  • WhatsApp number, email address, and phone number. This information will automatically appear in the footers of emails and reminders that the system sends to your customers.

5. Analytics and Legal Matters

This part of the module is responsible for collecting traffic data and ensuring the legal security of your business.

Analytics and marketing tools

You can connect your calendar to the most popular tracking systems to measure the effectiveness of your marketing efforts and see how many people complete meeting bookings. You can connect the following to Zencal:

  • Google Analytics
  • Meta Pixel

Legal Matters (Terms of Service and Privacy Policy)

By adding links to the required documents, your customers will be able to review the terms of your services and your personal data processing policies directly when signing up for an appointment:

  • Terms of Service: A link to your terms of service.
  • Privacy Policy: A link to your data protection policy.
📄 Learn more: You’ll find detailed instructions on how these legal documents work and how to properly implement them in Zencal in a separate article: Step 2: Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

6. Advanced

This section is intended for users who want full control over every visual detail of their profile, no matter how small.

  • Custom CSS: If the standard color settings aren’t enough for you, you can paste your own CSS code here. This allows for more in-depth customization of your profile page’s appearance—you can change, among other things, button shapes, font styles, element rounding, and custom hover effects.
🛠️Tip: This feature requires a basic understanding of CSS. If you don’t write code yourself, you can ask your developer for help.
